Heat Treated Pallets
Increased regulations around wood packaging materials have been enacted to protect forests worldwide, and BC Wood Products can verify compliance with international standards by ensuring quarantine pests aren’t within any of their wood products.
The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) created the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs). ISPM 15 is the standard for wood packaging materials, and these guidelines require wood packaging materials to be certified as fumigated or heated treated. Our heat treatment process consists of putting all of our wood products into a kiln where they are left until fully treated. All heat treated wood products are given the “wheat stamp” so they can be distinguished.
